Create a System
A system is an instance (e.g., Development) of an application, database or reporting tool against which cataloging, scanning, profiling, replication or data quality related tasks are performed. A system can have one or more connections.
Systems allow you to capture information about where data is stored, whether it is in a flat file, an ERP system, a database, a data warehouse or another location.
A system’s information and attributes are populated by an API.
To create a system:
Verify you’re in the Catalog module of the Syniti Knowledge Platform.
Select Catalog from the Home menu to navigate to the Catalog module of the Syniti Knowledge Platform.
Click the Create asset icon on the Site Menu.
