Article Summary

For failed data to appear on data quality reports ,a data store must be configured and the Save Error Report toggle turned on for the implementation. It is important to clean up historical data before it causes problems, such as running out of disk space or incurring incrementally high store costs. Refer to Clean Up Historical Data for details. For information on configuring assets, refer to Configure Assets for Data Quality. For information about executing implementations at the rule, business concept and business process level, refer to Run an Implementation.

You can access data quality report details about assets on the following pages:

  • Implementation Overview tab

  • Implementation Execution History tab

  • Enforcement Implementations tab

  • Business Concepts/Terms Data Quality tab

  • Business Process Data Quality tab

  • Rules Data Quality tab

To view the report details (i.e., the failed data), the implementation’s Save Report toggle must be set to on. This toggle only displays if a data store is configured in Admin. If you hover over the Report icon on a page that displays data quality details and a data store is configured, the tooltip View Report displays.

If the execution failed, click View Failure Reason on the Report Detail icon to view the error message.

If the implementation’s execution results in failed data and the implementation is not configured to save the data, the error counts display, but the error records do not.

Note

To maintain efficient system performance, parameters in Admin control the number of records returned from a data quality query and the number of records saved in a data store. They can be set on the Admin Parameters page.

Note
