Article summary

This topic relates to the following sections:

About Applications

On the Datasources multi-panel page, the data is divided among Applications, Instances, and Datasources. The Show list controls these types. Select a type from the Show list and the page provides guidance for building the details.

  • Applications include Source and Target systems, for example, JDE, SAP HANA DB, MAXIMO, and so on.

  • The Syniti Migrate system stores all the Snapshot Datasources, for example, SRCJDE, TGTECC, and so on.

  • Migration Working Databases Application stores Working DB tables (for example, WRKRTR, WRKPREP, WRKOTC, and so on) in an Instance that collects the tables for grouping as a Reporting Object. Refer to Maintain Working Datasources for more information.

  • The Snapshot Datasources provide a static database of tables and values pulled on a specific date from a system being used for Mock or Live Conversions. Refer to Snapshot Management for more information.
