Article Summary

After creating a connection to a non-relational target such as Apache Kafka, Hadoop or JSON file format, you need to add named output objects to the metadata so that you can set up replications. The named output objects are represented in the Management Center as tables.

To create table representations of your output in the Management Center:

  1. In the Source Connection section of the Metadata Explorer, locate the source table that you plan to replicate.

  2. Drag the source table to the target connection to open the Create Target Table wizard.

  3. Check that the Source Connection and Target Connection screens display the correct information. You can edit the name of the target table representation if needed.

  4. Click Next through the remaining screens to complete the wizard. In the Actions screen, you can optionally choose the option Launch the Create Replication Wizard.

  5. A dialog is displayed, asking if you want to add the table representation to the Metadata Explorer. Click Yes.

The new table representation is displayed below the target connection.
