Enhancements

System delete warning is not shown on all tabs-Clearer messaging now displays when you try to delete a system that has associated dataset or term fields.

Bug Fixes

• Setting a max-width bound on the page level help-An issue was fixed where the page-level help was extending off the screen. Now you can see the entire text.

• MarkdownRenderer Sizing-Fields with markdown applied now display with proper alignment on edit and overview pages. This update has been applied for all assets.

Migrate

We released these updates this week, but you may not see them until they are deployed to your tenant. Check back next week if you don't see these features today!

New Features

• Reporting Import-The Migrate system now provides for import of migration report registrations into Migrate from other systems.

• Guided Setup

  • Added a screen within Administer > Setup to provide setup steps in sequence for Parameters, Servers, Environments, Subject Areas, Development Areas and Import Databases. This screen helps in the initial setup of a new Migrate tenant for use in projects.

  • Guided Setup process ties together these steps in logical order to promote a complete system.

Enhancements

• Added French translations to Internationalization.

• Content imports now uses the job queue for improved stability and load handling of large data imports.

• Snapshot Management - Added new tabs to display lists of Tables and Sources to replace the hierarchy.

Bug Fixes

• HANA BTP edition required changing of scripting for update rules and reporting.

• HANA using the Migrate ETL process now determines Primary Keys.

• Oracle database - updated for Replicate connection based upon a username/password.

• Value Mapping now includes values for CREATED_BY and CREATED_ON fields.

• Corrected an issue where the Data Catalog table import was not pulling the correct Table Type of NetWeaver for SAP tables.

Enhancements

• Relationships Component: Sort order applied to Relationship Component data grid - attempt 2-You can now sort the columns on the Relationships tab for all assets. Each column can be sorted by:

  • A-Z or

  • Z-A

• Updated Relationship Filter Component-The following features were added to the Relationships search filter:

  • Counts on asset type filters

  • Exclude asset types with zero possible results

  • Filter for Relationship Type

  • Exclude Relationship Types with zero possible results

  • Counts update when Relationships are updated

• Changed color of links-We updated hyperlinks within the Page Help to match Syniti color design standards.

• Standardized Test Connection Buttons-We revamped all the Test Connections buttons in Admin so that they match.

Bug Fix

Replaced escaped newlines, tabs or return with empty string-Fixed a bug that caused line newline, tab and return markdown syntax to display incorrectly. With this fix, these markdown elements now display as expected.

New Features

• Bulk Edit is now available in the Syniti Knowledge Platform.

  The Syniti Knowledge Platform now allows for users with write permissions to edit multiple assets at once from the Search page.

  You can now use Bulk Edit to make updates to all asset types without worrying about the review workflow locking assets. Any changes made to assets in any review status will result in a new version that can be added to an existing or included in a new review workflow.

  This feature is especially useful when you have just created a batch of new assets that need categories assigned, or when a user has moved to another position and you must reassign their assets to a new owner.

• We released the Syniti Knowledge Platform Catalog Overview dashboard, which contains the following updates:

  • Reflects new publishing model, using status of Published, Unpublished and In Review.

  • Reflects new system/object model.

  • Adds business processes, goals and initiatives to the dashboards Overview tab and to individual asset tabs.

  • Adds business processes, goals and initiatives to the Total Assets by Asset Type chart on the Overview tab.

  • Updates rules to include their associated enforcements and implementations.

  • Updates all asset tabs to include the No Categories count, which allows you to identify those assets that are not assigned to categories, and therefore difficult to locate on search. Refer to Find Assets Without Category Assignments for more information.

  • Adds the Total Datasets by Review Status chart to the Datasets tab and ensures review status overall calculation is including datasets moving forward.

  • Allows you to see inactive users whose accounts are no longer active in the Syniti Knowledge Platform in the Total Assets by Owner chart and Asset Detail visualizations. Assets assigned to these users should be reassigned to active users. Refer to Find Assets without Owner Assignment or with Inactive Users for more information.

  • Fixes the review status for systems and datasets, which was showing a status of Empty. Datasets now reflect the current review status. Systems are set to Published, as they are auto-published.

  • Adds Total Assets by Review Status chart to the Datasets tab.

  • Adds SMEs External Contacts and their counts to systems and datasets.

Enhancements

• We updated the language on our asset creation pages to follow consistent standards.

• We updated the messaging on the Relationships tab for all assets for clarity. Now, when there are no existing relationships for an asset, we'll let you know that there are no relationships to see yet. When there are existing relationships, but there are none that match the filtering criteria you've entered, then we'll let you know that we couldn't find any relationships.

• We improved the UX for our filter panel component.

• We added translations to the breadcrumbs on the following pages:

  • Policy

  • Term

  • System

  • Datasets

  • Compare Versions

Bug Fixes

• We corrected a malfunctioning link in the Rule pages' breadcrumbs.

• We removed the Delete action from the action menu (...) on the Agent detail page. We will reintroduce it when the Delete function is working correctly for agents.

Enhancements

• Added translations for System - Object Details pages, System Objects, Edit Object Page, New Scans card for Systems, System > Downstream Objects tab - We added translation keys to the System and System Object pages.

• Added translations and inline help for Systems > Object Position card - Inline help and translations are now available on the Object Position card on the System page.

• Added translations and inline help for Admin > My Accounts Pages - Inline help and translations were added to the My Account page.

Bug Fixes

• Added translations for breadcrumb for Review Details & Send for Review Page - Added missing translation keys to the Review details page so that all fields are translated based on the user's Locale selection on their My Account page.

• Added missing required message to implication field on rule page - Fixed an issue where the validation messaging for the Implication field on the Rule page was not displaying properly.

• Fixed help key on Program Goal & Initiative - Fixed an issue where incorrect help text displayed on Goal and Initiative pages.

• Fixed misc translation keys on Users card - Fixed an issue where translation keys were displaying incorrectly on the Users card on asset detail pages.

• Fixed missing breadcrumbs on system version comparison - Added breadcrumbs that were missing from the Compare Versions page.

Enhancements

• For upstream objects, we have updated the Name field to the Location Path field to include more helpful information, as the Name field was sometimes not providing the information needed to identify the parent object.

• Updated tooltip for Save and Cancel when editing a Relationship

• Administrators can now edit Sites, which allows Admins to update the connection information used by the Syniti Knowledge Platform's Migration dashboard.

• Added a tooltip to the Edit comment icon and the Delete comment icon on the Comment card

• Made the following updates to the Object detail page:

  • Added Location Path

  • Moved the hierarchy details from the Location Card to the Details card. The Location Card has now been removed from the UI.

• Updated Sites page with the Use as a source for migration dashboard toggle, which allows you to designate which site has the SQL connection that is used for the migration dashboard.

• Various updates to styles, sizing and contrast were made to improve accessibility

• Added translations for Business Process pages

• Added translations for Agent pages in Administration

• Added translations to the Locations card on the Object detail page

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug that allowed the Add Fields button on the Fields tab to display for users with the Viewer role. Now, the Add Field button does not display for users with the Viewer role.

• Fixed an issue where the Object detail pege's Description was not displaying the correct data.

• We have updated the display of the casing on an object's Upstream component type on the Object detail page. The casing now reflects how the object was ingested, and is not set to camel case by default.
