Week of 03/24/2023

Enhancements

Syniti Knowledge Platform

  • We updated the design of the Connectors page so that administrators can now:

    • scroll through cards on the page without scrolling the whole page and

    • see the status of the connection in plain text without clicking into the connector's details.

  • The log messages for Data Quality tasks now have different sections to delineate implementations that ran successfully from those that had technical failures. For those that have technical failures, you can now see the associated error messages.

  • We added more information to Orchestrate workflow logs so that you can check on:

    • The status of each task in the workflow, including those that are currently running

    • The time each task started

  • When adding an SAP Application Server connection, a warning message now displays on the Create Connection page to let you know that the Application Type must be set to SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP CRM.

  • We updated the Replication Hubs page to align with our design standards.

Bug Fixes

Syniti Knowledge Platform

  • Fixed an issue where a warning message was supposed to appear when you clicked the Use Connection String toggle on the Create Connection page. [KYB-6378]

  • Fixed an issue on the Edit Connection page where if an existing Connection had Metadata Scanning selected as the Usage type, that Usage type could not be deselected because it didn't display in the list box. [KYB-6460]

  • Fixed an issue on the Edit Mission page where clicking the Cancel button reloaded the Edit Mission page instead of going back to the Mission details page. [KYB-6463]

  • Fixed an issue where users could click a link for the Orchestrate Home page even if they didn't have access to the Orchestrate module. With this fix, the Orchestrate Home page link is disabled for those without access to the module. [KYB-6352]

  • Fixed an issue on the System Objects tab of System pages where the Type filter selections were removed if they were made before searching for objects via the Search box. [KYB-6233]

New Feature

Syniti Knowledge Platform's Match module allows you to execute jobs sent from the Syniti Match Desktop. Match jobs are used to effectively match contact and operational data by comparing all relevant data and using a variety of strategies to process a wide array of standard errors. Contact your Account Representative to gain access for Match in your tenant.

Bug Fixes

Syniti Knowledge Platform

  • Fixed an issue where selecting a dashboard on the Syniti Knowledge Platform Home page displayed a 404 error. [KYB-6287]

  • Fixed an issue where creating Orchestrate workflows produced an error message, even though the created workflows were saving and displaying otherwise as expected. With this fix, the error message no longer incorrectly displays. [KYB-6343]

Week of 03/10/2023

Enhancements

Syniti Knowledge Platform

  • Previously, there was no visibility into the current status of a workflow task that was running. Now, you can see the status and start time for running tasks.

  • We improved error handling for Quality tasks to include logging for successful tasks and tasks that produce errors. For tasks that produce errors, you can now see the specific errors.

  • We added a warning message when you try to run an implementation that has no opportunity or error count. If you run the implementation anyway, it will not affect the previous Data Quality Score.

  • When creating a connection for "SAP Application Server"or "SAP Message Server"types, if the associated system has a Type that is set to "Unknown"or "Other,"a warning message now displays beneath the Type field that advises you to set the System Application Type to SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA or SAP CRM.

  • We updated the name of the module that supports data quality in the Syniti Knowledge Platform from "Data Quality"to "Quality."

Bug Fixes

Syniti Knowledge Platform

  • Fixed an issue where viewer users were unable to select a dashboard to view. [KYB-6266]

  • Fixed an issue where notifications for asset reviews were not displaying for tenants in the EU. [KYB-6346]

  • Fixed an issue where implementations that were saved with either an Opportunity Query or an Error Query would delete the information in either populated field if the corresponding field was not also populated, resulting in lost work. With this fix, implementations can be saved before both the Opportunity Query and Error Query fields are populated without losing any work. If the implementation is executed with only one of those fields populated, the execution fails, as expected. [KYB-5931]

  • An issue occurred when exporting grid data on the Relationship tab where the Relationship Type exported as "Object object."With this fix, the Relationship Type data exports with the correct values. [KYB-5698]

    Note

For any data (column headers or relationship data) that has a translated value, the original English value is exported instead of the translated value. This constraint may cause a discrepancy between what you see on the Relationships grid and what is downloaded.

We released the March updates for Migrate and Construct this week, but you may not see them until they are deployed to your tenant. Check back mid month if you don't see these features today!

New Features

Migrate

  • Target Reports can now be linked to Governance Rules within the Syniti Knowledge Platform rules, and a new Governance Rule can be created from Migrate if one does not already exist in the Syniti Knowledge Platform.

  • The Target Reports page in Mappings now has a Remediation icon to show which reports have Remediation enabled and if remediation has run against that report.

  • Connections to Azure Managed SQL Instances are now supported.

Construct

We now support connections to Azure Managed SQL Instances using the Syniti Connector data source.

Enhancements

Migrate

  • The following Migrate pages are changed to use REACT to meet Syniti standards:

    • User Deployments

    • User Audit Logs

    • Site Map

    • Security Classifications

    • Script Templates

    • Report Types

    • Relevancy Attributes

    • Employees

  • The Debug Log page now provides more clarity in messaging for the tasks.

  • The Validation Hub page now provides an Email task type that can send emails to participants during the validation process.

Construct

  • SQL Server system connections in the Syniti Knowledge Platform can now be associated with a data source in Construct, which allows pages within a WebApp to use the database connection from the system. Refer to Set Up an SKP System as a Construct Data Source for more information. Fields for Server Address, Database, Port, User ID, and Password have been removed from the Vertical View because connection information is now entered on the system connection. Connection information for existing data sources was migrated to the Construct Data Sources system created in the Syniti Knowledge Platform Catalog. Clients may need to update the connection information for these data sources.

  • Added the Notification Bell icon to the header bar to provide notification status. Click the icon to view the messages on the Syniti Knowledge Platform Notification page.

Syniti Knowledge Platform

The Syniti Knowledge Platform Connector now uses static IP addresses. A list of static IPs that must be whitelisted has been added to the Web Traffic topic in help.

Bug FixesMigrate

  • Fixed an issue on the Working DB Object Promotion page where the red/yellow/green icons were not visible.

  • Fixed an issue where the link to pick a specific SDR Replication was not visible in Snapshot Management.

  • Fixed an issue where report automation produced syntax issues when using an SAP HANA database.

Syniti Knowledge Platform

Fixed an issue where when SSO users experienced timeouts while logging in, they were returned to a login screen that was empty, with no way to re-enter their credentials. With this fix, if users experience a timeout while trying to log in, they are returned to a login screen that behaves as expected.
