About Parameters
View the following page by navigating to Administer > Setup > Parameters from the Syniti Migrate Home page or access by using the Guided Setup.
The Parameters page stores the system settings. Details such as the product version, Working DB Type, and Snapshot ETL Tool determine the client specific requirements. Parameters are assigned at the start of a project, and require minimal revisions through the project lifetime.
Only users with Administer security access may view or change this page. Refer to section Initial Setup First Week for details of the timing and steps where this section is updated.
Edit Parameter Details
The Parameter page provides sections for the setup, methodology, job queue details, SAP Data Services, and report export details. Section SAP Data Services is contingent upon the field Snapshot ETL Tool is SAP Data Services, otherwise it is hidden.
NOTE: The System Admin or IT Lead defines the parameters as per the specified values in the page shot below.

Base URL* |
The URL for the application is used for WADL scripts within Data Services. This field is not required if not using DS, however, the WADL scripts fail as it is needed to run reports. (Required) |

Select from the drop-down list the database type for the project. (Ex: HANA, Oracle, or SQL Server) (Required) |

Log Retain Days* |
This field identifies the maximum number of days to retain data for the User Audit Log stored within Migration Security. (Required) |

Debug Level* |
Provides the level to which the Debug Log is filled with entries. Set to None as default and then changed to either Error or Trace when using Debug to prevent the table from overloading the system. (Required) |

Snapshot ETL Tool* |
Snapshot ETL tool used for data migration is defined for system default. This field triggers different back-end logic when generating XML files to be imported into the ETL tool as part of automation. Options are SAP Data Services or Syniti Migrate. (Required) |

CSV Export Alternate Leading Zero Format Enabled |
Toggle promotes using leading zeros on the report if the file is large enough to export as a csv file. This passes the values as ='00012345' into the file as an example. CSV files do not show leading zeros if this flag is toggled inactive. |

Excel Export Max Record Count
NOTE: An example of the field 'Excel Export Max Record Count' shows a report that would have tried to generate for all 47,616 records, but due to the Parameter limitation, it displays and exports for 10,000 records.

Locate the SAP Data Services Version Values
NOTE: These SAP Data Services values may be derived by viewing the Help > About Data Services window within Data Services as shown below. These settings are used in the XML Scripting for migration of objects to SAP.

When finished with edits, click the Save 
icon to complete.
Subsequent Steps
Parameters is part of the initial setup of the Syniti Migrate system. By following the steps of the Guided Setup, the preliminary processes are set in place to start running a successful migration project.
