Syniti is excited to announce a new release. This release enhances Match jobs with the new Match Overlap feature, allowing you to match datasets even when their field structures differ. Additionally, the new Match Lookup feature enables interactive searches via a REST API to quickly determine if an entity already exists in your data.

We've revamped our Online Help system in this release, offering a sleeker design and a more user-friendly experience.

Match

  • We’ve enhanced Match jobs to include the Match Overlap feature, which provides the ability to match one dataset against another where the field structure may differ between the two datasets being matched. When two datasources are used on a Match job, matching records that intersect two sources of data are identified.

Refer to Match Overlap for more information.

  • You can now use the Match Lookup feature on a Match job to provide a REST API that can be integrated into an application to allow you to perform interactive searches to determine if a given entity already exists in the data. This feature can only be enabled from the Edit Match Job page, and a lookup can be run from the Match job Overview page.

Refer to Enable Match Lookup for more information.

Syniti is back with a new release. This release enhances the capabilities of Orchestrate to run ETL Jobs as part of the workflow. It also includes crucial bug fixes for Migrate, improving both user experience and system performance.

Migrate

Enhancements

You can now run configured ETL Tasks as part of an Orchestrate Workflow from the Orchestrate module. This enhancement creates a wide range of possibilities in data migration, quality, and governance use cases.

Refer to Execute ETL Task Type for more information.

Bug Fixes

  • We fixed an issue in Migrate > Mappings where changing the Mapping Action from Default to Copy reset the values in the Tables and Fields fields.

  • We fixed an issue where the Working DB Object Promotion failed to transfer a view with synonym references from the source database to the target database.

  • We fixed an issue where attempting to open a grouped row in a report resulted in an error if one or more sorting rules were applied to the columns.

  • We fixed an issue in Migrate > Mappings where users with the Developer role were able to unlock and update locked Data Mapping Details. Now, users with the Developer role can update Build Statuses but cannot modify Mapping fields or the Mapping status.

  • We fixed an issue when clicking Search for the Specifc SDR Replication field of Snapshot Tables displayed only replications for the first Replication Hub on the list related to the server of the datasource in the Syniti Knowledge Platform.

  • We fixed an issue where users encountered the SSO Data not found in cache error when attempting to log back into Migrate after a session timeout.

  • We fixed an issue where reports being refreshed during the ETL process were taking significantly longer to complete than expected, even though the same reports refreshed quickly outside of ETL. This bug fix optimizes the ETL refresh process, ensuring report updates are completed in a timely manner.

  • We fixed an issue where, after unlocking a completed mapping, modifying the record, and subsequently setting the mapping to Approved, the Mapped By field displayed an incorrect user name. This field will now accurately reflect the user who performed the mapping.

Syniti is back with another release. This release includes an update to terms in Data Catalog and information regarding future changes around this feature.

In an effort to better manage rules, terms, and datasets, we are introducing an update to the use of business concepts (terms) on rules. Soon, business concepts on rules will be updated to be classified as datasets, instead of a business term.

This change will happen in stages to allow you to make any necessary updates to terms or rules in preparation for the change.

The first stage of this change, available today, is the addition of the Type field on the Create Term and Edit Term pages. Select Dataset to categorize the term as a part of Data Quality. Select Term to categorize the term as a business concept, not as a part of Data Quality. Existing terms with a rule applied are automatically assigned the dataset type, while existing terms without a rule applied are assigned the term type.

Refer to Datasets, Terms, and Rules for more details.
