Central Relevancy identifies the attributes that determine if the object type record is relevant for the migration. Central Relevancy is the setup and maintenance of the fields that produce relevancy for Master Data objects like Customer, Vendor, or Material Master. In these core Master Data objects are multiple relevancy checks, and these checks must be determined prior to building each object.
In some cases, the relevancy check is against a different object's relevancy. The Central Relevancy datasets are run against these relevancy fields to determine if the record is relevant for conversion and loading to the target system. The Central Relevancy fields are stored within a Release, and they are configured on the Relevancy page.
Prerequisites to Using Relevancy Attributes
Before Relevancy attributes can be used in a conversion of master data, the Project Setup must be completed and have an active Release. All Relevancy attributes are assigned values in a Release. Refer to Creating and Maintaining Releases and Release-Level Relevancy Attributes for more information.
