About Security Classifications

Security Classifications are used to provide levels of classification to secure data for the client. This configuration page provides opportunity to define additional classifications if necessary, as well as defining details for use, storage, and protection of this data during the project. There are three standard classifications delivered with the application and they are not allowed for change or removal - Internal Only, Public Data, and Sensitive. The Classification field is present within a Data Element.

Only added classifications may be edited or deleted, but any classification may be marked as Inactive. 

The Search icon on the top right corner of the pane will allow you to search for a specific classification.

The Security Classification grid displays the following fields:

Heading

Description

Classification

The name of the security classification.

Active

Toggle to set status of the security classification.

Note

Defaults as Active.

Add a Security Classification

To add security classifications click the Add   icon at the top of the pane.  The right panel will open the Details with all fields available to enter new values.  Once the data has been entered, click the Save  icon to complete.  To exit without saving, exit the process and the data will be canceled.

Edit a Security Classification

To edit a manually entered Security Classification:

  1. Click to select the Classification for edit.

  2. Click on the Edit    icon within the Details panel on right side of screen to make changes. 

    Note

    The Edit icon is only visible for manually added Security Classifications.

When finished with edits, click the Save  icon to complete.

Delete a Security Classification

To delete a user entered Security Classification, click on the Delete   icon to the left of the row.  Only user entered Security Classifications may be deleted.  The three default options are permanent, but may be made Inactive.  Click OK within the Confirm window to remove the entry or click CANCEL to cancel the action.
