About User Deployment

The User Deployment section of Security maintains user access to Deployments.  All project team members, client staffing, and any consultants who require access to view or use the Syniti Migrate system to perform their job tasks need to have a user setup within User Management.  The User Deployment section of Migration provides the user with access to view filtered reporting based upon the applied Deployment.

Prerequisites for User Deployment

  • Syniti Migrate ties together the User and the Role. Each needs to be built and the sequence of building each depends upon where they are planned to be joined - Administer > Security > Role Management. So, determine the process and then sort and sequence each step to match the approved process.

  • Every user of Syniti Migrate must have already been setup with a Syniti Knowledge Platform ID and password through Syniti Support Service.

  • The Deployments are created as part of Migrate > Project Setup and they are uniquely assigned to a Project / Release.  User Deployment ties the user to one or more Deployments for the purpose of filtering data in reports.

Working in User Deployment

View the following page by navigating to Administer > Security > User Deployment from the Migration Home page.

User Deployment: Display User List

The User Deployment page displays as two panels (Users and Deployments).  The list of users is provided from Administer > Security > Users Management. Deployments panel depends upon the highlighted row in Users panel.  As the user clicks to highlight a user in the left side panel, the current list of Deployments for that user displays in the right-side panel for assignment.

Multiple Deployments may be assigned to a User.  The column header for Users panel contains the Full Name of the user.

The Deployments panel displays every active Deployment in the Migration Application.  The column headers for Deployments panel are used as follows:

Toggle switch to mark the Employee as Active/Inactive

The Search  icon in the top of the panel allows for searching for a specific employee.  This can be internal (Syniti) or external users (Business/Client).

The toggle field Active marks a Deployment as active or inactive for the user. Click OK to proceed.

Note

This process does not use Save or Cancel icons, the only action is to mark a deployment as active or inactive for the user.
