Article Summary

The Syniti Knowledge Platform allows data generated from activities such as the execution of data quality implementations to be written to file-based data stores that our customers own and manage. Currently, the Syniti Knowledge Platform supports Amazon S3 Buckets, Microsoft Azure Store and Microsoft SQL Server as options for data store types.

To prevent future retention issues, such as running out of disk space or incurring incrementally high storage costs, it’s important to periodically clean up your historical data. Refer to Clean Up Historical Data for more information.

For details on how to set up an Amazon S3 Bucket for use as a data store in the Syniti Knowledge Platform, refer to the Knowledge Base article Syniti Knowledge Platform AWS S3 Data Store Setup Guide.

Register a Data Store

Note

Only one data store can be registered at a time.

To register a data store:

  1. Verify you’re in the Admin module of the Syniti Knowledge Platform.
    Or
    Select Admin from the Profile menu to navigate to the Admin module of the Syniti Knowledge Platform.

  2. Under Connectivity, click Data Store in the Admin menu.

  3. Click the Register data store button.

  4. Populate the connection properties.

  5. Click Save.

For more information about data stores, click the Page help icon on the Navigation menu.

Edit a Data Store

Note

Only one data store can be registered at a time.

Note : 

For security reasons, currently stored values do not display in the fields, even though the values are stored in the database.

To edit a data store:

  1. Verify you’re in the Admin module of the SKP.
    Or
    Select Admin from the Profile menu to navigate to the Admin module of the SKP.

  2. Under Connectivity, click Data Store in the Admin menu.

  3. Click the Edit Data Store icon.

Delete a Data Store

To delta a data store:

  1. Verify you’re in the Admin module of the SKP.
    Or
    Select Admin from the Profile menu to navigate to the Admin module of the SKP.

  2. Under Connectivity, click Data Store in the Admin menu.

  3. Click the Edit Data Store icon.

  4. Click the Delete registration button.
