The AI-assisted Import from Content Library feature allows you to import business processes, which contain datasets and rules, from the DQ content repository into the current subject area. The DQ content repository (maintained by Syniti) contains business processes, datasets, systems, datastores, tables, goals, rules, enforcements, and DQ reports. Using this feature allows you to efficiently choose the business processes relevant to your business and instantly import those business processes, along with the relevant datasets and rules required to make your data business-ready.
The following criteria must be met for information to display in the grid:
Datastores must be associated with the selected system
The dataset must be assigned fields from a table in the system datastore
There must be a dataset associated with the business process
To import from the content library:
Select the system from the System Filter list box. A list of business processes associated with the system displays in the grid.
Note
It is important to pick the system you are modeling the business after. For example, if you’re modeling your business after SAP ECC, select an ECC system.
Select the system datastore that contains the desired tables from the Default Dataset Datastore list box at the top of the page to set a default datastore for each dataset.
Select the desired target datastore to be used for the report execution (i.e., an SRC or TGT datastore in the working database) from the Default Execution Datastore list box at the top of the page to set a default execution datastore for each dataset.
Click the caret to expand a business process to see the associated datasets.
Select the checkbox next to the business processes you would like to import.
If necessary, edit the dataset datastore and execution datastore on each dataset.
Note
Selecting a default dataset datastore or default execution datastore after a datastore has already been selected for a dataset on an individual basis does not set the default datastore for those datasets. Only those datasets whose fields are in a Select Datastore state are updated to the default datastore selected.
Ensure that a dataset datastore and execution datastore are selected for each dataset before importing the business processes. The Add button is disabled until these options are set for all selected datasets.
Click the Add button to queue a job to add all the selected content. A notification is sent to your inbox when the job is executed, which contains a link to the created workflow tasks for the import.
Business processes added through the import display on the Business Processes tab of the subject area. This imports the selected datasets and associated rules for that dataset. Once the import tasks are complete, a DQ score is available.
All imported assets are tagged as Imported from Content Library. This tag allows you to filter assets on the Search Results page to view only imported content.
