Syniti is excited to announce another release. This release includes enhancements to ETL Jobs in Migrate, allowing you to add an Orchestration workflow task type as part of an ETL Job, along with crucial bug fixes to improve performance and user experience.

Keep reading for more detailed information on this release.

Enhancements

Migrate

  • In ETL Jobs, you can now add an Orchestration workflow as an ETL task type. When creating a new ETL task, select an existing workflow or create a new one from the Orchestrate module in the Syniti Knowledge Platform, allowing Migrate to leverage various workflows supported by Orchestrate. Refer to the ETL Task Types section for more information.

  • When downloading a report of any type, a loading spinner now appears until the download process starts.

  • The Allow Remediation toggle button is turned on by default for the Business Ready, Stage Ready and Target Ready report types. After the initial save of these report types, you cannot turn off the Allow Remediation toggle button.

Bug Fixes

Migrate

  • We fixed an issue where RFC based replications created by Migrate were incorrectly including the Client filter in the SAP S/4HANA system.

  • In Migrate > Mappings, when you click Create Reports while modifying a Dataset or Target, the initial processing that used to occur on the Mappings page has now been moved to the Job Queues page. This update reduces the processing time on the Mappings page when Migrate starts building the necessary Job Queue tasks to generate the reports.

  • We fixed an issue with the Dataset and Mapping Import process where data in the Dataset Table Description and Data Element Definition fields were not importing correctly, despite valid values being present in both fields in the Excel spreadsheet.

  • We fixed an issue where the Allowing Remediation toggle button for the Business Ready, Stage Ready, and Target Ready report types was being turned off or disabled automatically. The Allow Remediation toggle will now be turned on or enabled by default for these three report types and will not allow any changes after the initial save.

  • When you execute an ETL Job at any level in Migrate, the ETL Job now creates the Generate Steps for ETL Execute Tasks job queue step that runs asynchronously to build out and initiate the required level of ETL tasks and job queue steps. This process eliminate timeout errors when an ETL Job has a large number of tasks and job queue steps.

  • We fixed an issue with the incorrect XTVALUEMAP Insert Rules syntax used in the Working DB Object Promotion feature when promoting data objects from the SAP HANA working database.

  • We fixed an issue where the color indicators representing the metrics thresholds statuses did not populate on the Metrics Scorecard.

  • We fixed an issue in Manage Development Areas where a Development Area was deleted despite having associated references.

  • We fixed the incorrect DDL for the MIG_ALL_DATASETS view.

  • We fixed an issue with field mapping where the Xref Table field is extracting data from the SRCCONSTRUCT database where the data is populated from the CONSTRUCT database instead of MIGRATE database in the working server.

  • We fixed an issue where an ETL Job for the Target Reports failed due to a duplicate error when the ZDEPLOY field mapping was updated to remove extra space characters.

  • The MIG_USER_ACCESS_LIST view is no longer supported, as user management and security features are now managed in the Syniti Knowledge Platform instead of Migrate.

  • We fixed an issue in Administer > Advanced > Applications where changes made to a table in the Default Application Table panel were not saved after clicking the Save icon.

  • We fixed an issue on the Target Reports page where the loading spinner did not disappear after clicking Refresh All Reports, even after the jobs were added to the queue.

  • We fixed an issue where the Connection Pool would time out when attempting to connect to the SAP HANA working database.

  • We fixed an issue that allowed Viewer users to edit an ETL task, which resulted in an error. Now, Viewer users can only view the details of the ETL Task without the ability to edit it.
