The address verification module is designed to verify address data for validation, allowing you to review suggested corrections and configure automatic approval thresholds based on match level. By ensuring addresses are valid, complete, and standardized, this module significantly improves match accuracy and enhances overall data quality.

Address Verification Job Details
Basic address verification job details are displayed in the left side panel. Here, you will find a circle chart that displays a graph of addresses by status (approved, auto-approved, or in review), as well as the job details set on the creation or edit of the job.
Click on the links in the circle graph to filter the addresses displayed on the page by status.
Addresses display in the middle of the page, with a total count of the addresses next to the Addresses heading near the top of the page, and total displayed address count at the top right of the grid.
Additionally, use the Filter list box under the desired column heading to filter jobs by Status, Record ID, Original Address, Suggested Address, Match Level, or Verification Status.
To refresh the address verification job datasource, click the Update Datasource from System icon on the Datasource in the Details card. The associated datasource will be reimported from the system.
Review and Approve Addresses
Addresses display in the middle of the page, with a count of the displayed addresses at the top right of the grid.
Use the Filter fields to search the displayed addresses by any of the available data fields. For example, use the Filter list box under the Status column heading to filter addresses by one of the following statuses:
Approved—addresses that a user has manually approved. These addresses cannot be adjusted.
Auto-approved—addresses that have been automatically approved during the address verification run based on the selected job settings. These addresses cannot be adjusted.
In Review—addresses that need additional user review before being approved. These addresses did not meet the auto-approval criteria set in the job settings.
Addresses with a status of In Review must be reviewed and approved by a user. Use one of the methods below to review and/or approve addresses.
Individually Review and Approve Addresses
To review and approve a single In Review address:
Select an address with the In Review status on the page. The address details display in a right-side panel.
If necessary, select the Information icon on the Suggested Address heading in the right-side panel to review the address verification details.
Click off the Verification Details window to return to the grid and address details.
If any address fields require correction, select the Edit address icon. If address fields do not require correction, skip to Step 6.
Make any necessary corrections to address fields, including comments in the Comment field for reference.
Click Save changes to save the address without approving.
Note
Use the Save changes option without proceeding to Step 7 below when you want to run the job again to resubmit the address to the addressing engine for verification. For example, if you manually update the zipcode and you want to see if the change makes it possible to verify the address when it’s reprocessed, you would select to Save changes without subsequently approving the address.
Click Approve address to mark the address as approved. The address is marked with a status of Approved.
Edit and Approve Addresses from the Actions Column
Alternatively, use the following icons in the Actions column to:
Edit address—quickly jump to the Edit Address panel to make address changes.
Approve address—quickly approve an address without reviewing any additional fields.
Bulk Approve Addresses
To approve In Review addresses in bulk:
Click the checkbox in the far-left grid column to select the desired In Review addresses. A record count of selected addresses displays above the grid.
With the desired addresses selected, click Approve selected.
Note
When approving addresses, it is important to note that geocode validation credits will be applied at a rate of 1 credit per record for address jobs with geocoding turned on.
Export Addresses
Verified addresses can be exported to a SQL Server table using the name of the address verification job by clicking the Export verified addresses button at the top of the page. This exports all addresses. However, only the addresses with a status of Approved or Auto-approved will include the following data:
Match Level
Score
Individual field statuses
Geocode data
Important!
Suggested updates will be present in the exported data for records with a status of In Review. It is important to note that these results have not been approved and should not be used to update datasource data.
The exported table can be found in SQL, and the export event displays on the History tab under the Data Exported history table event.
