Grids throughout the Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP) can be individually customized, sorted, searched, and filtered. The selected settings are remembered per user.
To customize a grid in the SKP:
Hover over a column header until the filter icon displays.
Click on the filter icon. Custom sorting and filtering options display, along with a Search box if no Search feature is available above the grid.
The options available depend on the grid type and data. The following options may be available for customizing the grid display:
Pin Column—Select to pin the selected column to the right or left of the grid, or select No Pin to leave the column unpinned. If No Pin is selected after a column has been pinned to the left or right, the column returns to its original place in the grid.
Autosize This Column—Select to automatically size the selected column to fit the length of the text in all column rows.
Autosize All Columns—Select to automatically size all columns to fit the length of the text in all rows.
Reset Columns—Resets all columns to their original place in the grid
In addition to customizing the display, you can filter data displayed in the grid and, if a Search feature is not available for the grid, search within the grid filter window. For example, when filtering the Roles grid on the Security Profiles Roles and Groups tab, you can choose which columns are displayed in the grid by selecting the checkbox for the desired column. When using the search option, you can only search by the most defining column, i.e., Name, Description, Email, etc.
You can also sort grid column data by clicking on the desired column heading. This sorts the grid alphabetically or numerically by that column data.
