About Check Table Values
The page below is accessed by pathway Administer > Advanced > Value Mapping Config from the Syniti Migrate Homepage. This page contains two panels - Datasources, and Check Tables associated with each Datasource. The Datasources are determined by the process of importing Datasets to the Mapping section of Migration. The second panel for Check Tables shows each check table associated with the Datasource highlighted. The column Check Table Values contains all rows of data for that check table.
To view the Check Table Values, click on the Check Table Values Button where a count is showing. The System Values are display only as they have imported from the Datasource. Additional added values may be edited.
Within the Check Table Values page, there is a list of values that have been added. The Check Table Values grid displays the following:
Heading | Definition |
---|---|
Datasource | The name for the datasource. |
Check Table | Check Table Name. |
Target Value | The key that represents a unique value for the target. It may be the target check table value or a concatenation of key fields to represent a unique field for this check table. |
Load Value | The value that are loaded into the target system. |
Description | The check table description. |
Active | Toggle to show that this row of translation is active. |
System Value | A check box that indicates this row is from a System target value. |
Add a New Check Table Value
Should a new check table value be required but not in the target system, the user can add it manually to the table in this system. This value is considered a Manual entry vs a System Value. The System Value checkbox is set to unchecked to indicate that this entry is added manually and there is not the same entry in the check table in the target system. Manually added Check Table Values may be set to Active or Inactive.
Note
If the Check Table Value is set to Inactive, it does not show in the drop down list for use in Value Mapping.
The Check Table Values page for the highlighted Check Table will display with a list of records.
Click on the Add icon. This action opens the Check Table Value Details window for updates to the fields.
Fill in the fields for the Check Table Values:
Field | Description of Use |
---|---|
Datasource | The Datasource for this check table is display only. (Required) |
Check Table | The Check Table name is display only. (Required) |
Target Value | The key that represents a unique value for the target. It may be the target check table value or a concatenation of key fields to represent a unique field for this check table. |
Load Value | The value that is loaded into the target system. |
Description* | Description of the Check Table Value. (Required) |
Active | Toggle to mark this Check Table Value as Active/Inactive. |
System Value | Check Box to mark the check table value as manually added or a System Value. This value is display only. See NOTE below. |
Note
During a Refresh of Check Table Values, the system compares the target entries against ones stored within the check table in this page. Should a manually added value now exist within the target system, the Refresh process updates the Checkbox value to checked. This indicates that the entry is no longer a manually added entry but now a System Value. The System Value toggle is not open for manual change it is maintained by the Refresh process.
