Rich Text Editing

Assets within the Catalog component of the Syniti Knowledge Platform are able to utilize a rich text editor. This functionality improves the ability for businesses to format the content of catalog assets to better convey the meaning and definitions. Copy and paste from the Microsoft Office and Google Office suite of products (with some limitations) is also supported and can be utilized when needing to upload assets directly from an existing resource.

The following asset attributes support rich text editing:

• Term—Definition and Additional Information

• Rule—Implication and Additional Information

• Policy—Definition and Purpose

• Dataset—Description and Purpose

• System—Description

• Goal—Description

• Initiative—Description

The following formatting options are supported:

• Headers (various levels) and paragraphs

• Font size changes

• Text foreground and background color highlighting

• Bold and Italic text

• Hyperlinks to external or internal references

• Tables

• Quotes

• Bulleted lists (with indentation)

• Numbered lists (within indentation)

• Indentation

• Undo and Redo capabilities
