Prerequisites for the Installation of SKP Add-On

  1. Current kernel, tp, and R3trans
Verify that the current versions of the kernel, tp, and R3trans are in your system.

  2. Current SPAM/SAINT update
Verify that you have imported the latest SPAM/SAINT update into your system. To do this, compare the short text of the last imported SPAM/SAINT update with the short text of the SPAM/SAINT update in SAP Support Portal. If you find a newer version of the SPAM/SAINT update in SAP Support Portal, import it. You can find more information about SPAM/SAINT in SAP Help Portal under https://help.sap.com/spmanager.

  3. Contact the SAP Support team or the Syniti Support team to verify whether the Add-on package supports the SAP BASIS and SAP_ABA release versions used by your system, and to download the SKP Add-on package along with its password.

  4. Required authorizations:

To use all functions in the SAP’s Add-On Installation Tool, you require the following authorizations granted through the S_A.SYSTEM authorization profile:

    • S_TRANSPRT

    • S_CTS_ADMIN

    • S_BTCH_ADM

    • S_DATASET

    • S_ADMI_FCD

    • S_RFC

  5. Check if the highlighted software components are installed on your system by navigating to System > Status > Product Version > Details > Tab: Installed Software Component Versions

  6. Additional information:

    • Space required in the transport directory: Approximately 10 to 20 MB

    • Net runtime: Approximately 5 to 10 minutes

Preparing the installation of SKP Add-On

  2. Select the required .SAR archive file and click Open. If prompted, grant required access to upload the file.
