The Custom Theme feature allows you to personalize the Syniti Knowledge Platform interface by applying corporate branding. Upload custom logos, define brand colors, and customize welcome messaging to align the Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP) with internal branding guidelines. This customization creates a seamless integration between the SKP and other enterprise tools.
How to Use This Page
The Theme Customization page enables administrators to configure and manage custom branding for their tenant. From this page, you can:
Select color themes and define primary, secondary, and tertiary colors
Upload small logos, large logos, login background, and favicon images
Obtain a custom login URL for users to access the custom themed login page
Apply custom themes to override default settings
Revert to default theme settings
Set a Custom Theme
To set a custom theme:
Select Admin > Custom Theme in the Navigation pane.
Select theme colors from the Primary Color, Secondary Color, and Tertiary Color list boxes.
Primary Color—the main brand color used for key UI elements, such as the site header
Secondary Color—the complementary color used for accents and secondary actions
Tertiary Color—the additional accent color for highlights and decorative elements
Click the Upload icon in the Small Logo field to upload a compact logo to display in the site header. Allowed image file size is 2Mb.
Click the Upload icon in the Large Logo field to upload a full-size logo to display on the login page.. Allowed image file size is 2Mb.
Click the Upload icon in the Login Background field to upload a background image for the login page. Allowed image file size is 2Mb.
Click the Upload icon in the Favicon Image field to upload the image to be used as the browser tab icon. Allowed image file size is 300Kb.
Turn on the Apply Custom Theme toggle to apply colors and assets on save for all tenant users.
Click Save.
Note
The custom theme only overrides the default theme when the Apply Custom Theme toggle is turned on and saved. To save without applying the custom theme, turn the Apply Selected Theme toggle to the off position and then click Save.
The Custom Login URL is automatically generated by the SKP. Use this URL to access your custom themed login page. Syniti recommends all users bookmark this URL.
Revert to Default Theme
To revert to the default theme:
Turn the Apply Custom Theme toggle to the Off position.
Click Save.
Note
This process reverts all colors and assets to default settings.
Best Practices
The following are recommendations for logo dimensions, file formats, color selection, and accessibility considerations when applying custom theme settings:
Logos—The recommended file type is .svg with a transparent background. The allowed image file size for logos is 2Mb.
Login Background—Syniti recommends using a high resolution image, such as 4k resolution.
Favicon—The recommended file is is a 32×32 .ico file. However, other formats are accepted.
Color Contrast—The contrast ratio requirements are 4.5:1 for general themes and 7:1 for high-contrast themes, as per WCAG AA guidelines.
