New Feature

A new business user role, called Viewer, is now available. This user role has read-only access to assets. Users assigned to the Viewer role cannot make changes to assets that are being governed within the Knowledge Tier; however, this user can comment on assets in order to provide commentary to the owners and sponsors. Refer to User Roles and Permissions for a full list of the Viewer role's permissions.

Enhancements

  • The User role has been renamed to Author. The permissions for this user role have not changed.

  • An Administrator can now update a user's persona and locale settings when a tenant is using SSO login credentials.

  • An Author or a Viewer can change their locale settings on the About Me page.

  • The Sites page has been updated to combine server credentials into one field called Connection Information.

Bug Fix

[KYB-1117]-The Category icon displayed for Author (formerly called User) users, even though this user role could not access categories. The icon has been hidden for Author users.

Known Issues

  • A Viewer user can be assigned as a Sponsor; however, they are unable to endorse the asset.

  • A Viewer user can be added as the Assigned To for Terms, Rules and Policies; however, they cannot perform any actions.

New Feature

We are excited to announce that you can now upload assets remotely! With this time-saving feature, you can upload rules and terms in sets from the Stewardship Tier to the Knowledge Tier and publish them as assets. Rule and term reports are pushed from the Stewardship Tier to the Knowledge Tier once a day. Check out Upload Assets Remotely for more information about automatic uploads.

To manually populate the staging tables that upload assets to the Knowledge Tier, refer to Populate the Bulk Update Tables to Publish Rules and Terms to the Knowledge Tier.
