New Features

Migrate

Metadata Import-Migrate now provides the ability to import migration ETL metadata into Cloud Migrate from other systems via an Excel template.

Enhancements

Migrate

• The Landing Page now provides cards with links to our most popular sections of the system.

• The import of metadata to the system is now organized within Administer > Imports for the following Excel templates:

  • Excel Import

  • ETL Import

  • Mapping Import

  • Reporting Import

• The exception dialog box has been updated to provide more detailed descriptions of the issue.

• The Defect/Reference ID field is provided within the Data Mapping Details panel of the Mappings screen for tracking changes made to a mapping by tracking system number.

• The following changes have been made to Servers:

  • The fields for Syniti Agent are now recognized as Syniti Knowledge Platform Connector.

  • When creating a Datasource Server as the Working server within Syniti Migrate, the field Catalog System now filters to only the Datasources that are flagged as Migration connections.

• The following changes have been made to Snapshot Management:

  • The concept of creating source or target snapshot datasources has been replaced with snapshot datasource. The naming of snapshot datasources will continue to use SRC and TGT as the prefix of the Datasource name.

  • The Snapshot datasource wizard has been simplified to include the relevant fields for this Datasource Purpose.

• The Datasources section is now defined to build the following Datasource Purpose types:

  • System

  • Snapshot

  • Construct Snapshot

  • Construct

  • Migrate

  The remaining Datasource Purpose types are built within other sections of the system and they include Reporting and Working datasources.

Bug Fixes

Syniti Knowledge Platform

• Fixed a bug where the Fields Only toggle was disabled on the Fields tab on Dataset pages. With this fix, the Fields Only toggle is enabled and will filter the content on the page and display additional metadata for the fields displayed.

• Fixed a bug where the font for the SKP Connector Name field was too small.

Migrate

When creating a snapshot datasource, the ZSOURCE field is derived from the Datasource Name and it is set as display only within the screen. In edit mode this value could be changed, but with the fix, it is now a display only field and is directly tied to the Datasource Name field. If the Datasource Name changes, the ZSOURCE field will update based upon the new value.
