Syniti is back with another release, featuring the introduction of Security Filters for restricted access on Data Quality (DQ) reports.

Keep reading for more detailed information on this release.

Admin

Syniti is excited to announce the release of configurable Security Filters using key-value pairs that can be assigned to user groups to restrict data access on DQ reports. This enhancement enables fine-grained segmentation, ensuring users only access data relevant to them.

This feature extends the centralized security model to support business-driven data segmentation, ensuring the right users can view and act on specific subsets of data, such as filtering by company code, plant, or ZDEPLOY.

Data governance and user experience are improved through the enforcement of role-based visibility across analytical and operational tools.

Key Features

  • Define security filters with customizable key-value pairs.

  • Assign filters to user groups, which inherit filters through assigned security roles or profiles.

  • Assign filters to implementation assets to impact data quality scores by ensuring assigned users only see data relevant to them.

  • Restrict data access based on allowed key values per user group.

Impacts

  • Data Quality Score Reports—Fields are automatically bound to security keys based on name, data type, or SAP role.

  • Notifications—Security filters are included in all DQ reports, with the error count visibility based on individual users’ security filters.

Refer to Security Filters for more detailed information on this feature.

Syniti is back with another release featuring changes to our navigation menus. Keep reading for more detailed information on this release.

Syniti Knowledge Platform

The Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP) menu has been redesigned to improve usability and accessibility. The platform menu has moved from the left side under the Home dropdown to the right side of the global header, now located under the Syniti Applications icon.

Included in this enhancement is an updated navigation menus for Construct Preview and Migrate, which now supports filtering of menu items using text input, the ability to Expand All or Collapse All menu items, and the ability to expand and collapse individual menu items.

These enhancements provide faster access to relevant menu items, improved navigation efficiency, and an enhanced user experience with dynamic, context-sensitive filtering. Refer to Navigating the Syniti Knowledge Platform for more information.

Migrate Menu

We have redesigned Migrate’s menu bar to enhance the user experience with two new navigation elements:

  • The Migrate module menu located at the top-left corner of the screen for easy access to menu items

  • The SKP Applications platform menu in the top-right corner, allowing users to seamlessly switch between different modules within the Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP)

These enhancements improve usability and align the interface with the overall SKP design for a more consistent and intuitive experience.

Additionally, a new menu search feature is now available, enabling users to quickly find specific menu items. The existing menu structure remains unchanged to ensure a smooth and familiar transition.

Refer to Migrate Menu Structure for more information.
