Adding & Editing Instances

On the Datasources multi-panel page, the data is divided among the Applications, Instances, and Datasources types. The Show list controls these types. Select a type from the Show list and the page provides guidance for building the details.

On the Datasources panel, click the Add  icon to select from the list of possible connections for data connectivity and launch the appropriate Details window.

Add an Instance

1. From the Show list, select the Instances type to view the details of this type in the multi-panel.

2. In the Application Instances panel, click the Add icon to open the Create New Instance page.

   

3. Enter the details for this instance using the following table as a reference:

   Section	Field	Description
   Details	Application*	(Required) This value defaults from highlighted Application.
   Details	Name*	(Required) The name of the Instance.
   Details	Description	The description of the Instance.
   Details	Version	Enter the version of this Instance.
   Details	Geographic Region	Enter the location of this Instance.
   Details	Business Unit	Enter the Business Unit for this Instance.
   Details	Support System	Enter text for Support System details.
   Details	Support Queue	Enter text for Support Queue details.
   Details	Support SLA	Enter text for Support SLA details.
   Stakeholders	Owner	Select the Owner responsible for this Instance.
   Audit	Various	These are the system generated values for auditing the work.

4. Click the Save  icon to complete.

Edit an Instance

To modify an existing Instance, click the Edit icon to view the Instance Details page.

You may add new Datasources to the existing Instance. You may also modify the Details section to update field values as required.

The left side of the Instance Details page contains the Instance details. These fields are supportive of the Instance design, usage, classification, and review. Each section of this panel stores valuable information.  In the left-side panel, the following quick use icons are available at the header bar:

Icon	Name	Use
	Save	Saves the current entries.
	Cancel	Leaves the current page without saving changed data.
	Help	Redirects you to the page in Syniti Online Help to provide detailed explanation of this section and use.

When finished with editing the Instance details, click the Save icon to complete.
