Overview
The Platform Usage page helps administrators monitor usage trends and resource consumption in Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP).
Use this page to review monthly and daily usage trends, drill into module-level activity, and download monthly metrics for analysis.
Prerequisites: Access to this page requires the Platform Usage feature to be enabled and the View Parameters permission in Admin.
Understanding Platform Usage
Overview
The Overview section displays a stacked monthly chart for the previous 12 months, measured in the unit provided by the platform usage service. The chart summarizes platform usage by month and separates usage into two categories:
Storage: Total data stored each month. Stored data is data in the database, including any failed data.
Process: Total data processed via report runs each month.
Click a month bar in the Overview chart to select that month. The selected month drives the Month Breakdown and Month Detail sections. By default, the current month is selected.
Month Breakdown
The Month Breakdown section displays module-level usage for the selected month in two charts:
Storage by Module: Storage usage split by module.
Process by Module: Processing usage split by module.
Click a slice to open metric detail rows for that module and metric type. Click a legend item to toggle that series in the chart. Module breakdowns cover the AI, Construct, DQ, Match, Migrate, Replicate, and SynitiDrive modules.
Month Detail
The Month Detail section displays daily trends for the selected month, measured in GB:
Historic Process Usage: Daily processing usage by module.
Historic Storage Usage: Daily storage usage.
Click a point to open day-level detail rows for the selected metric.
Metric Detail Panel
Selecting a slice or point opens a detail panel with measurements for that selection.
The detail grid supports sorting and filtering and displays these columns by default:

Note
The grid also includes Value (MB) and Aggregation Type columns, which are hidden by default. Show these columns from the grid column menu.
For rows that include expandable tag payloads, click show in grid to view structured tag details.
Download Metrics
Click Download Metrics to download a monthly metrics package for the selected month. SKP downloads the package as a ZIP file.
Important Notes
The Overview chart reflects the unit provided by the platform usage service, which can differ from the GB used in the Month Breakdown and Month Detail charts.
Module breakdowns are limited to modules that report usage for the selected month.
The detail panel displays timestamps in UTC for consistent chart-to-grid alignment.
