Overview
When a replication job is executed manually or via a schedule, the Replicate module creates a workflow of Replicate type in the Orchestrate module to store the execution history. Replicate Preview leverages the Orchestrate module for running and scheduling a replication job. Logs are recorded for each execution. The logs in an execution history displays only the final status or error message of that particular execution.
Currently, the Workflows tab in the Orchestrate module display user created or custom workflows only; however, you can search for the workflows created by the Replicate or other module in the Syniti Knowledge Platform using the column filter in the Type column.
To view logs for the most recent execution of a replications, refer to the View Logs for a Replication section for more information.
Replication Jobs and Workflows Synchronization
Replication Jobs executed in the Replicate module function synchronously with the associated workflows in the Orchestrate module. For example, when you modify a replication’s priority or add or delete a replication in a group, source datastore, or target datastore, the same modification is also reflected with its associated workflow for the next execution of a replication job.
In addition, when a replication, group, source datastore, or target datastore is deleted, its associated workflow is also deleted. This synchronization ensures that the Replicate module does not leave any irrelevant data in the Orchestrate module, thereby efficiently optimizing storage and resource allocation.
