Custom Relationships

User-defined relationship types between assets, tailored to meet specific business, industry, or geographic needs, allowing flexibility in how asset connections are represented.

Data Quality Parameters

Configurable attributes within the Quality module of the Syniti Knowledge Platform, used to:

  • Limit records downloaded to the data store

  • Restrict the number of records returned in a query

  • Manage data retention settings for historical data cleanup

  • Test parameters for data retention

Data Quality Threshold

A set limit providing a visual indicator of data quality health, displayed in charts and summary pages across various assets.

Data Store

A designated storage location where data generated in the Syniti Knowledge Platform can be saved, ensuring that you are always in control of your data.

Destination Assets

Assets designated as the endpoint in a relationship type, linking them to the current asset as the target in the relationship.

Dictionaries

Dictionaries translate technical columns in data quality reports into user-friendly business names  in their desired language and use their own business terms for technical fields displayed.

Records within a dictionary that store translation information associated with specific terms.

Inverse Relationship Type

A relationship in which the destination asset is defined by the nature of its dependency within the relationship.

Match Remote Services

A Match service that allows an instance of Syniti Match Desktop that is installed on-site to connect to Syniti Match in the cloud. A remote service is a service (either Hub or Syniti Match Desktop) that is hosted at a location remote to Syniti.

Match Templates

Pre-configured templates sent from Syniti Match Desktop to Syniti Match, containing datasource connections, tasks, and settings required to execute a job.

Melissa Global Address Validation Services

A service to validate and cleanse address data records.

Orchestrate Parameters

Configurable attributes within the Orchestrate module used to set up services such as Melissa Global Address Validation.

Originating Assets

Assets designated as the starting point in a relationship type, allowing the relationship to link this asset to another specified asset.

Replication Hubs

A Replication hub allows an instance of Syniti Replicate that is installed on-site to connect to Syniti Replicate in the cloud, facilitating access to data replications viewable and manageable on the Syniti Replicate Monitor page.

A profile that allow users to extend the global, role-based security settings on individual assets such as Catalog subject areas and rules, and Migrate datasets, releases, and datasources. This allows for very fine-grained security control for certain assets when needed

Sites

A connection between an instance of the Stewardship Tier and the Knowledge Platform.

SKP Connectors

An SKP connector is the Syniti component that allows the Syniti Knowledge Platform to communicate with systems in your landscape. One system can be related to multiple SKP connectors (e.g., two separate SKP connectors: one for executing Cloud DQ and one for executing Cloud DM)

Strategy

The Strategy component of the Knowledge Platform enables in-depth analysis of business strategy, encompassing the company's mission, vision, strategic goals, KPIs, policies, and business processes. Users can define one mission and one vision at both the company and program levels. Strategy is organized into two interconnected branches:

  • Company Level: Allows corporate leadership to outline strategic objectives centrally, ensuring all stakeholders can align decisions with company-wide goals.

  • Program Level: Enables data management program managers to define program-specific objectives and link them to broader company goals, fostering alignment with corporate strategy.
