Depending on the asset, the User's card displays different types of users. Users except for External Contacts are Syniti Knowledge Platform users and must be registered in Admin before they can be assigned to an asset.
External contacts are involved in the asset, but are not Syniti Knowledge Platform users.
Assign SKP Users to an Asset
To assign a Syniti Knowledge Platform user to an asset:
Click the More actions ellipses.
Select Edit.
Locate the Users section.
Select a Syniti Knowledge Platform user from one of the user list boxes.
Click Save.

Assign External Contacts
To assign an external contact to an asset:
Click the More actions ellipses.
Select Edit.
Locate the Users section.
Click Add under External Contacts.
Enter a name, role, email address and phone number.
Click Add to save the external reference.
Click Save to save changes for the asset.
