Unique asset IDs are automatically generated and added to assets to aid in communicating about, querying and managing assets. You can search for assets using the unique asset ID with the Search Results. Unique asset IDs are tied to assets and cannot be reused if the corresponding asset is deleted.
Note
The number component of the asset ID is not sequential, but the ID is unique. Any gaps in the number should not be interpreted as an indication that assets are missing.
