A threshold value that automatically approves any groups with a base score equal to or greater than the defined threshold value.

Bridging Prevention

A process that prevents two matching pairs from being combined by a common record into a group where the other records are not a good match. It splits bridged groups into sub-groups.

Business Tightness

A setting that determines the strictness of company name matching during the comparison process.

C

Constraints

Matching rules applied to records when comparing and scoring potentially matching records.

F

Fuzzy Matching

A technique used to identify and match similar but not identical data entries, by accounting for minor variations, typos, or inconsistencies.

M

A module in the Syniti Knowledge Platform used to run match jobs, which is used to effectively match contact and operational data by comparing all relevant data and using a variety of strategies to process a wide array of standard errors.

Match Keys

Match keys are defined fields in each record used to compare and group potentially matching records.

Match Level

A match level automatically selected based on the column types mapped. However, the selection can be manually adjusted to the required level.

A setting that controls the strictness of the matching process, defining how closely records need to match in order to be considered a match.

V

Volume

A setting that controls the number of records to be processed in a match job, determining the job's scale and capacity.

W

Weights

A total score is calculated when two records are compared; this is the sum of the scores generated for each component within the two records using the following weights:

  • Sure: Identical or equivalent components.

  • Likely: Very similar components.

  • Possible: Less similar components.

  • One Empty: One record contains no data for the component.

  • Both Empty: Both records contain no data for the component.
