New Features

Migrate: SQL Editor with AI-Powered SQL Assist

We are excited to introduce the SQL Editor, a unified and secure interface for creating, executing, and managing SQL commands directly within the Migrate module. This new feature eliminates the need for external SQL tools by providing seamless, in-platform database scripting while ensuring security and compliance through controlled access, permissions, and audit trails.

The SQL Editor offers an intuitive, conversational AI interface called SQL Assist, which provides context-aware assistance that adapts to your specific needs. Users can apply or auto-apply suggested changes, making it especially effective when working on data migration rule and report DDL.

Key Features

  • Datastore Object Explorer: Browse database schemas and objects in a hierarchical view for easy navigation.

  • Controlled Query Execution: Perform only authorized operations with role-based permissions and audit trails for security and compliance.

  • User-Friendly Query Panel: Write and manage SQL scripts with an intuitive interface that combines code editing and database tools.

  • History and Script Tracking: Review and reuse past queries from the History panel for faster development.

  • AI-Powered SQL Assist: Get contextual, conversational support for writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries.

Supported Database Systems

SQL Editor currently supports SQL scripting for the following databases:

  • Microsoft SQL Server

  • PostgreSQL

  • SAP HANA

Bug Fixes

Migrate

  • We fixed an issue where Target Reports exported as CSV files did not use UTF-8 encoding, causing special characters to display incorrectly, and where numeric values containing commas were treated as text, resulting in incomplete or incorrect values in the exported file.

  • We fixed an issue where tables containing square bracket ([ ]) characters in PostgreSQL databases failed during the Metadata import process.

  • We fixed an issue where, if a user was part of multiple deployments in a release, clicking the Report button for one deployment and then for another would still show the data from the first deployment instead of the correct one.

  • We fixed an issue where refreshing tables in the SAP HANA working database failed on INSERT and DELETE actions during Value Mapping configuration.

  • We fixed an issue where, in a single SAP HANA working server with multiple reporting environments (for example, DEV and LOAD) set up as separate schemas, downloading reports resulted in the following error for all reports except ALL ERRORS reports: An item with the same key has already been added. Key: xxxxxx

  • We fixed an issue with translating data types in PostgreSQL databases.

  • We fixed an issue where downloading a Target Report from the grid did not respect the selected column order and visibility in data from the SAP HANA working database.

  • We fixed an issue where, during Working DB Object Promotion, disabling the Auto Select Dependencies toggle still automatically selected dependencies in the backend.

  • We fixed an issue where downloading data from a grid with filtered columns did not respect the filter. The downloaded file contained all data from the grid with the filtered column headers.

  • We fixed an issue where taking snapshots of construction tables failed with an “Invalid object name” error if the table name or a field name contained the word GO , for example, a field named LGORT.

  • We fixed an issue where copying an ETL task from the DEV environment to another environment resulted in a timeout error.

  • We fixed an issue where exporting data from the grid in the System Snapshot Tables panel produced an Excel file with GUID values in the Status column instead of the actual status values.
