We’ve made updates to Syniti Match to enhance your experience. With these improvements, setup in the Admin module is no longer required. Existing Templates will still be supported, but creating new templates is no longer possible. You can now create Match jobs directly from Syniti Match without any need for prior setup in the Admin module.
Match allows an instance of Syniti Match Desktop that is installed on-site to connect to Syniti Match in the cloud. A remote service is a service (either Match API or Syniti Match Desktop) that is hosted at a location remote to Syniti. Match remote services provide access to data jobs, which can be viewed and executed in Syniti Match.
Remote Services for Match are set up on the Remote Services page in Admin > Match > Remote Services. This page displays a list of all Match services registered with the Syniti Knowledge Platform, along with the following details for each service:
Service Type— The type of remote service that the Match API is connected to, either Match API or Syniti Match Desktop (fka Cortex).
Version— The version of Syniti Match Desktop that the service is running.
SKP Connector— The SKP Connector used by the Syniti Knowledge Platform to connect to the Syniti server instance on-prem. For more details on the SKP Connector, click the SKP Connector name to access the SKP Connector Detail page.
Job Count— The number of jobs in Match using the remote service to run.

Create a Remote Service
To add a remote service:
Click the Create service button.
Enter a Name for the remote service.
Enter the IP Address and port for the Match Desktop API or Match API server instance in the Address field.
Select either Match API or Match Desktop from the Service Type selection box.
Select the remote service activation code from the Activation Code selection box.
Select the SKP connector that is used to communicate with the remote service type from the SKP Connector selection box.
Click the Test and save button to test the connection and save the remote service.
After creating a service, you use the Test connection button in the Match Remote Services grid as needed to verify the service is successful. The status of the latest connection test displays in the Last Test Result column.
Once a remote service is created, complete the setup by adding a Template. Refer to Templates for more details.
Delete a Remote Service
You can delete Match remote services at any time. However, it is important to note that deleting a remote service also deletes the Match jobs associated with the service.
To delete a remote service:
Navigate to Admin > Match Remote Services.
Locate the remote service to be deleted in the Match Remote Services grid.
Click the Delete icon in the Actions column for the remote service to be deleted.
On the Delete Service dialog box, click the Confirm button to delete the remote service.
Note
Match services cannot be edited, but new services can be created at any time.
