New Feature

The Syniti Knowledge Platform's Quality module uses rules and relationships to drive data quality initiatives across your organization, granting stakeholders access to key metrics about overall data health. Data Catalog and Syniti Migrate/(ADMM) and other modules within the platform can integrate with Quality to monitor and evaluate business outcomes and to see how improvements resulting from data quality reporting have a positive impact on the business. Refer to Quality Overview for more information. Contact your Account Representative to gain access for Quality in your tenant.

Previously on the Objects tab for systems, when there were enough objects listed on the page to initiate scrolling, the object names were duplicated and the page continued to load indefinitely. Now, scrolling on this page works as expected.

• We fixed an issue on the Connections page where IBM Db2 displayed multiple times in the Type list box.

• Fixed an issue with Implementations using PostgreSQL where the col_date data type wasn't working.

Replicate

Fixed an issue where non-admin users were unable to view the Replicate Monitor page.

We released the February updates for Migrate and Construct this week, but you may not see them until they are deployed to your tenant. Check back mid month if you don't see these features today!

New Features

Migrate

A Validation Hub has been added to the Migrate system, which provides Developers with a process by which they can sequence tasks for validating the data once converted and after loading to the target system. The following features are available:

• Task Dependencies are on Script Templates and Validation Hub pages.

• The drop down for Dataset is dependent upon the entry for Milestone and filters for that Milestone.

• When viewing an archived script, the user may unarchive the script.

• Multiple templates with the same name may be saved as "Save as Template" from within the ellipsis menu of a card.

• Users may create a script and assign it to another user;, however, only the assigned user may edit the script once assigned.

• Only the Validator may create tasks.

• Only users with Insert access may save a script as a template.

• Tasks may be marked as Failed with a comment to support the action and display a red circle with an X.

• Multiple tasks within the same script may now be assigned as dependent upon another task.

• Scripts may be deleted, if not needed, to prevent foreign key constraints for deletion of other objects (e.g.,Ex: Milestone)

Migrate

• Within Construct Pages page, users may now select a Construct Template from a drop down list of active WebApps from the Construct system.

• PMO Dashboard now displays a list of all comments rather than the most current one entered.

• Governance Rules have been added into the Target Report page so that a report may be integrated into a governance rule in Syniti Knowledge Platform.

• To assist with profiling of data for Data Elements in the working SQL Server database, three new SQL stored procedures are provided (SYN_PROFILE_DATABASE, SYN_PROFILE_TABLE, and SYN_PROFILE_COLUMN_VALUES). There is no user interface for these stored procedures, but they are available for Consultant use in the database.

• Column Translations page now includes the Syniti Standard Fields with descriptions for default translations.

• Data Catalog now provides an additional SAP-specific attribute for Check Table in the Import Metadata process for Datasources because this attribute is critical for mappings and value mappings.

• Pages within Migrate that use Environments or ETL Versions have been updated with accented color and an underline that meets Syniti standards.

• The UX/UI design has been updated for disabled icons, security icons, secondary and dithered buttons to display with the Syniti color standards.

• Each of the three import templates have a MIG_EXPORT view that is stored as a System Report for easy export of file content.

Construct

• The Landing page card for Construct Training now links to the external Training Course Schedule for the current year. This way the users who are not Syniti employees can view and participate in the offerings.

• The Quick Panel along the right side of the system has been removed because it is no longer relevant and error messages are provided within the Debug Log page.
